What are The Mobileys?

The Mobileys, produced by Mobile Future, is an annual competition that challenges innovators across the U.S. to create game changing apps, products, and services that use mobile to make a difference.

This annual national competition recognizes and supports early-stage mobile entrepreneurs who make the world a better place.

The Criteria

Early Stage

Applicants should be an individual or be affiliated with a small U.S. company that has either produced a mobile product or app or is within 6 months of launching a mobile product or app.

This product should be a creative game changer that uses mobile in new ways to have a positive impact on our lives.

Winners must be able to demo their innovation in November 2016 at an event announcing the winners.

The CureSearch CancerCare mobile app strengthens the connection between patient and care team, given that children often receive lab results from multiple places, commute to their hospital, or divide their treatment between local and national care centers. The app advances parents' ability to share crucial information and reports on their child's information, including blood counts, medication schedules, and symptoms with multiple medical professionals.

How would you use the prize money?

The prize money will be applied directly to the cost of developing future improvements to the CancerCare app.

SPROKIT is a mobile app that reduces recidivism by better connecting returning citizens with their parole agents and probation officers.

SPROKIT provides general information about what is expected of probationers and parolees, especially mandatory events that will help them successfully complete their prison sentence. People coming out of prison will have a clearer path to successful re-entry, as they will know what they have to do in order to meet the requirements. Probation officers and parole agents will benefit from having a more efficient way to oversee their caseloads.

How would you use the prize money?

We would use the money to defray costs associated with running the initial pilot programs and hiring a federal evaluator to assess our results.

We offer high school students a one-stop platform to discover and receive personalized updates on the opportunities that will help them develop their talents based on their interests and qualifications. Pro:Up also provides organizations with an efficient means to directly notify qualified high school students of their programs.

How would you use the prize money?

The prize award would accelerate our market expansion by supporting the costs of our direct visits to high schools and organizations and our participation at counseling conferences. This would help us to validate our business model so that we can secure investment to scale nationally.

Users discover great restaurants, help the community, and engage in a social food app with friends.

How would you use the prize money?

We would use the prize money to fund donated meals while restaurants are on a free trial, to implement our #shareameal marketing campaign to widen our impact, and to develop new social features on the app.

We will add features allowing department leaders to know who is responding to a call, add geolocation enhancements, and add more scheduling functions.
